Privacy Policy

How CalculatorPoint collects, uses and safeguards your information.

Privacy & Data Usage

This Privacy Policy describes how CalculatorPoint ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses and safeguards your information when you visit https://calculatorpoint.tech (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information that is necessary to operate, secure and improve the Site:

  • Information you enter into calculators. All calculator inputs (loan amounts, age, weight, dates, etc.) are processed in your browser. We do not transmit, log or store these values on our servers.
  • Technical data. Standard server logs and analytics may capture your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referrer URL, pages viewed and timestamps.
  • Preferences. Theme preference (dark / light) is stored in your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device.
  • Communications. If you contact us by email, we keep that email and your address so we can reply.

2. How We Use Information

  • To operate, maintain and improve calculator accuracy and site performance.
  • To understand which calculators are used most so we can prioritise updates.
  • To detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse, security and technical issues.
  • To serve and measure advertisements (see Section 4).
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We and our partners use cookies, web beacons and similar storage technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure traffic and deliver relevant advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings or via the cookie banner shown on first visit. Disabling cookies may affect site functionality.

  • Essential cookies — needed for the Site to function (e.g. remembering consent).
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand aggregate usage patterns.
  • Advertising cookies — used by Google AdSense and other partners to personalise ads.

4. Advertising & Google AdSense

CalculatorPoint may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and other third-party advertising vendors.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or, for participating vendors, www.aboutads.info.
  • For users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, we rely on Google's certified Consent Management Platform to obtain consent for personalised advertising as required by the IAB TCF and Google's EU User Consent Policy.

Read Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

5. Analytics

We may use Google Analytics or similar tools to understand aggregate visitor behaviour. These tools may set cookies and process anonymised technical metadata. We do not link analytics data with personally identifying information.

6. Third-Party Services

The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts and icons from a public CDN. These services may receive your IP address and user-agent solely to deliver the requested asset, under their own privacy policies.

7. Children's Privacy

CalculatorPoint is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. under India's DPDP Act 2023, the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR, or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at support@calculatorpoint.tech.

9. Data Retention & Security

We retain technical logs only as long as needed for security and analytics, typically no more than 12 months. We use HTTPS and standard security controls to protect data in transit, but no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

10. International Data Transfers

Our service providers (such as Google) may process data in countries other than your own. They contractually commit to comparable protection standards.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Please review periodically.

12. Contact

Questions, complaints or data requests can be sent to support@calculatorpoint.tech.
