About Us

Why CalculatorPoint exists, who builds it, and how we keep results trustworthy.

About CalculatorPoint

CalculatorPoint is a free online calculator platform built for students, salaried professionals, small-business owners and families across India. We bring together 70+ everyday calculators — financial, health, math, date-time, unit conversion and India-specific tools — in one fast, clean, mobile-friendly site, with no sign-up required.

Our Mission

Routine calculations should not require downloading an app, signing up for a service, or hunting through ad-heavy websites. Our mission is simple: make accurate, well-explained calculators freely available to every Indian user on every device. We pair each tool with the formula it uses, sensible defaults, and short FAQs so you understand the result, not just see a number.

What We Offer

  • Financial calculators — EMI, SIP, FD, RD, PPF, gratuity, salary, income tax, GST, HRA, TDS and compound-interest tools.
  • Health and fitness calculators — BMI, BMR, body-fat, calorie, water-intake, heart-rate, pregnancy and ovulation calculators.
  • Math & statistics — scientific calculator, percentages, fractions, roots, LCM/HCF, primes, quadratics, area and statistics tools.
  • Date & time — age, date difference, countdowns, time-zone conversion, work-hour and retirement planning.
  • Unit converters — length, weight, temperature, area, volume, speed, data, fuel and pressure.
  • India-specific — GST invoice, vehicle EMI, education loan, gold price, land-area and other local tools.

How We Build & Verify Calculators

Every calculator on CalculatorPoint follows the same editorial process to keep results reliable:

  • Source the formula. We start from authoritative sources — Income Tax Act, RBI circulars, EPFO guidelines, WHO BMI categories, ISO unit definitions, or standard academic textbooks.
  • Document the formula on-page. Each calculator shows the formula it uses and any assumptions, so you can verify the math yourself.
  • Cross-check against known outputs. We test against worked examples from bank EMI sheets, EPFO calculators, official tax-slab tables, and published reference values.
  • Mobile-first design. Calculators are designed and tested on phones first, where most of our users are.
  • Update with rule changes. When tax slabs, interest rates or rules change, we update the affected calculators and note the change.

Our Editorial Principles

  • Accuracy first. A wrong number is worse than no number. We'd rather take a calculator down than ship a flawed one.
  • Transparency. The formula and assumptions are always visible.
  • No dark patterns. No forced sign-ups, no hidden fees, no fake "premium" gates.
  • Lightweight & private. Calculations run in your browser. We don't store the values you enter.

Who Builds CalculatorPoint

CalculatorPoint is built and maintained by a small, independent team of engineers and finance enthusiasts based in India. We are not affiliated with any bank, NBFC, mutual-fund house, hospital or government body. Our team has prior experience in fintech and web development, which informs how we model financial formulas and tax rules.
