Financial calculators for India

The financial section of CalculatorPoint covers the calculations Indian households deal with most often: home and personal-loan EMIs, fixed-deposit and recurring-deposit maturity, mutual-fund SIP projections, PPF growth, gratuity entitlement, income tax under old and new regime slabs, GST on invoices, and quick salary breakdowns from CTC.

Every calculator here uses rupee defaults, Indian interest-rate ranges and the formulas published by RBI, SEBI, the Income Tax Department or EPFO. Results are estimates that follow standard methodology — they help you plan, compare options and check what your bank, employer or financial adviser tells you, but they are not a substitute for professional financial, legal or tax advice.

When to use these tools: Use these tools when you are comparing loan offers, planning a savings goal, deciding between old and new tax regimes, checking an invoice total, or estimating your take-home pay from a job offer.

Common questions

About EMI Calculator on CalculatorPoint.

What is EMI?
EMI (equated monthly instalment) is a fixed amount you pay each month towards a loan. Each payment covers part of the principal and part of the interest so that the loan is fully repaid by the end of the tenure.
How is EMI calculated?
This calculator uses the standard reducing-balance formula: EMI depends on loan amount, annual interest rate converted to a monthly rate, and total number of months in the tenure. Total interest is the sum of all EMIs minus the principal.
Does this EMI calculator include processing fees or insurance?
No. It uses principal, rate and tenure only. If your lender adds fees or insurance to the loan amount, enter an adjusted principal to approximate your actual EMI.
Which loan types can I use this calculator for?
You can use it for any fixed-rate loan where EMI is computed on a reducing balance—typical home loans, car loans and personal loans in India. Floating rates change over time; your lender’s schedule may differ slightly.
